Empowerment for Empaths: From Reactivity to CHOICE in 5 simple steps
Dear Reader,
Back in 2011/2012, a process of mindfulness started to organize itself in my mind.
You see, from the end of 1993 until 2012, I’d been on a steady personal growth path. I took this stuff seriously, as I found certain ways I was showing up in life and in my relationships felt painful, uncomfortable and caused a lot of friction or conflict for myself and/or others.
Desperately, I wanted a way to feel comfortable and empowered in my own life, self and relationships.
Almost twenty years on a healing journey taught me a lot of things and I learned from many different teachers. But, these simple steps came through as a way to help me, and others, get back into our power.
Jim and Jori Manske, Non-violent Communication trained facilitators, were the real inspiration for this process coming through. I’d taken a course of theres in 2011, which showed me how much I was triggered in my daily life and how the trauma responses I was having, when I felt triggered, were really running the show of my life, most of the time.
They helped me see how I could go from being reactive towards life to a state of being in choice about my responses to life or how I was feeling in the moment.
This awareness was a God send!
Soon after I took their workshop, this process I call Free to Be began to emerge. As I pieced together different things I’d learned from Jim and Jori, as well as teachers like Eckhart Tolle, Jeneth Blackert and others, this simple process came into being.
I call it Free to Be, as it is a way for me to feel free to be myself more fully.
You see, I often felt insecure being myself or confused about why I often reacted strongly to life in anger, frustration, despair or hopelessness.
This process of Free to Be helped me get clear on what was triggering me so much, why I was getting triggered and whether what I was feeling was all mine or not.
Big clues here for an empath!
So, I invite you to check out the Empowerment for Empaths Free to Be 5 Step Process. It’s simple, it’s free and it’s something I still use to this day!
