Quickly, I opened up Skype on the computer and called my twin sister in America.  She grabbed her voice recorder and helped capture the idea for me.

Years later, I have song ideas come to me all the time (you’ll see lyrics sprinkled throughout this web-home): some in my dreams, some in the middle of the day, some at night.  As if they float into my mind or are literally just dropped into my head, the melodies or words appear suddenly, as if out of nowhere, until I wake up and realize, “that’s another song idea,” and I reach for the phone and press record to capture it!

To be a channel for all of this music is a great gift and can feel overwhelming, at times!  There are so many ideas!  How do I get them out to the world?  Writing music can feel simple and complex at the same time.  What if no one hears the music?  What if no one cares?  

As I traverse these thoughts in my head, I choose to admit that, although this is a pathway that surprised me, this is how Song Channel Music was born.  I believe these songs are coming to me to be shared with the world.  And, I am grateful as I choose to do what I can to uplift, empower and inspire all through this music!
